Getting started
From invitation to your first task
You will use Owlpod to prepare and manage the environment, then work in your agent's remote client.
Still choosing where to run Claude Code? Compare Remote Control, native cloud and a separate host.
Before you begin
- An invited email address with access to its inbox.
- Your own eligible account or model-provider access for the agent you choose. Owlpod does not include a model subscription.
- A browser or the agent's supported remote client. You do not need a GitHub repository for your first task.
Your account must support the remote feature you plan to use. Our trial checks used Claude Pro and Google AI Pro; other tiers have not been verified here. Vendor requirements can change, so confirm access in your agent account before creating an environment.
1. Sign in and choose an agent
Open management, enter your invited email, and verify the emailed code. Select an agent and choose its Create environment button. If capacity is unavailable or your limit is reached, follow the displayed message. Check existing environments before trying to create another.
2. Let Owlpod prepare the environment
Follow the progress shown on the page. You can leave management and return to it; preparation continues. When setup needs an account approval or consent, complete the displayed action.
3. Connect your account and remote client
- Codex
- Complete the official account sign-in, then follow the Remote pairing instructions shown by management.
- Claude Code
- Complete the native account sign-in and setup prompts. Read the trust and Remote Control consent before confirming, then open Claude with the same account.
- OpenCode
- Open or generate private access as prompted, then choose a provider in the official Web client and connect the credentials it requires. Treat the private link like a password: anyone who has it can access the environment.
- Antigravity
- Complete the Google account authorization prompted during setup. Open the official remote interface with the same account and select your environment.
4. Try a small first task
In the agent client, ask: Show the current workspace directory, then create a file named hello-owlpod.txt containing Hello from my cloud workspace.
Review any requested permission. Check the file through the agent before starting real work.
Return to your work
Use the same remote client and account to reopen your environment. Management sign-out does not stop a running agent or revoke remote access. A task can pause for your permission; reconnect to check it. If something is stuck, consult the troubleshooting guide.
Keep a copy of work you need
Read the deletion deadline shown in management. Before the deadline or before choosing Delete, save the files you need outside the environment, using your agent's supported workflow. A repository is optional, but if you use one, review the destination and changes before authorizing a push. Deleted environments cannot be restarted.
